Could you imagine that you are a young boy who was kidnapped from your family to fight in a war? Maybe it was your brother or your son...how would you feel? Well believe it or not these things happen in a place called "Uganda" & it has been going on for about 23 years. You probably wonder how has something like this has been going on for so long & we just really learn about, but thanks to the Invisible Children programs we see whats happening and can also help. Invisible Children started in 2003 when 3 young men traveled to Africa in look of something to film basically for fun but ended up finding something that would change their lives forever. The 3 men Laren Poole, Jason Russell & Ben Keesey discovered the tragedy of kids weapons & victims of the war, which inspired them to start the program. With this they aimed to make a difference in the war & they did, they found missing kids and helped the Ugandan community be more careful. I think the more people who get involved the easier it will be to help these people. The Invisible Children program opened my eyes & made me see that there is a world outside of the one I live & they need help.
